Description

The Inet-200 PCI instruNet Controller board fits into a computer PCI slot (5V PCI Version <= 2.3 and 32-bit operating system only). From there it interfaces to an instruNet network. The iNet-200 Controller also provides several Digital Timer I/O channels at a 34-pin connector. These Digital I/O channels can also be used in Clock Output, Pulse Input and Period Measurement modes.

Each Inet-200 can support upto 8 Inet-100 devices over a maximum distance of 300m, while as many Inet-200 cards and thus networks can be installed as required, dependant on the number of available 5V standard PCI slots.

These cards control all aspects of the Data Acquisition process, thus removing the load from the host computer.
