The µPAC's are a series of micro Programmable Automation Controllers which run the simple, fast-booting MiniOS7 operating system. With flexible COM port configurations and user defined pins, the µPAC's are suitable for a wide range of automation, data acquisition and remote control applications.
Both I-7188 and μPAC-7186 series are palm-sized PACs. The latest μPAC-7186 series are more advanced PACs with faster CPU, 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet and lower power consumption making them suitable for more sophisticated applications. These µPAC's use MiniOS7 Studio, which has been developed for use with C-language based controllers. The μPAC features IDE(integrated development environment), which makes programming much easier. With various expansion boards for μPACs, such as DI, DO, A/D, D/A, Timer/Counter, UART, flash memory, battery backup SRAM and other I/O functions, users can choose which functions they would like to combine, and then optimize the performance of their μPACs for different situations. And for those who are familiar with soft logic, ISaGRAF-based μPACs can also be offered that make the programming tasks as easy as PLCs.
The μPAC-5000 Series is equipped a 80186 CPU running a MiniOS7 operating system, various connectivity (Ethernet, RS-232/485) and an I/O expansion bus. The μPAC-5000 series are enhanced versions of the μPAC-7186. Owing to its larger form factor design, the μPAC-5000 can add an internal wireless module, such as 2G, 3G, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, GPS for different wireless application. The optional I/O expansion board, XW-board, is twice the size of the X-board for the μPAC-7186 and provides high-protection I/O. With built-in micro SD, the μPAC-5000 can also be used as a data logger.
