ZigBee is a specification based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for wireless personal area networks (WPANs). ZigBee operates in the ISM radio bands and its focus is to define a general purpose inexpensive, self-organising, mesh network that can be used for a wide variety of applications. The ZB-2570 (Host) and ZB-2571 (Slave) modems support 3 different methods of communication ( RS232, RS485 and Ethernet ) and the main design goal was to provide and simple and effective alternative to wired solutions. These converters have several operating modes including transparent addressable & non-addressable plus Modbus. Please note that the host unit will only communicate with other products from the ZB range of ZigBee devices.
