Industrial Ethernet Switch and Fibre Converters |
 |
A range of products are available to for use in Industrial Ethernet Networks. These include : Unmanaged Ethernet Switches : Industrial rated Switches are intended to be installed in both harsh climatic environments and noisy electrical installations. They are DIN Rail Mounting and have very wide ranges of DC Input and Operating Temperatures. Real-Time Redundant Ethernet Switch : With industrial Ethernet, you need minimum down time if a problem occurs. To aid this, unique network recovery features are employed to significantly enhance network recovery times. When some network redundancy is required, a common method is to employ the spanning tree protocol. However, spanning tree can be complex to program and critically can take over 30 seconds to detect and recover from the fault – far to long for critical applications! ICP DAS RS Series incorporate propriety protocols that enable multiple Switches to be placed into a redundant ring. A single Switch, configured as the network focal point will monitor, detect and recover from a fibre or copper link failure within approximately 50ms – for the majority of applications a seamless process. The configuration process of the network focal point is simple to enable fault rectification by non-specialist Maintenance personnel. Fibre Converter : The utilization of fibre optic data transmission for industrial automation and process control has become increasingly popular over the past decade. A basic fibre optic system, using an optical transceiver circuit and fibre optic media, offers a wide array of benefits that are not available with traditional copper conductors. |
